Information Technology Integrators (ITi) participated in a Stakeholder Breakfast organized by the Distance Education Association of Southern Africa (DEASA). Represented by Julius, the event served as a platform for key stakeholders to discuss the evolving landscape of distance learning across the region.
The engagement focused on strengthening collaborations between public and private sectors, enhancing access to quality education through digital and remote solutions, and exploring innovative strategies to bridge the educational divide in Southern Africa. One participant noted, “Formal engagement and regular networking among institutions involved in distance education facilitate more rational use of resources and enhance innovation knowledge and dissemination”1.
Another attendee remarked, “Collaboration and the shared application of resources can contribute to improved efficiencies in the provision of open, distance, flexible, blended, and online education, thereby promoting the chances of more widespread and faster growth in the sector”.
ITi’s involvement in this event reaffirmed its commitment to supporting educational advancement through technology and policy dialogue.
