In 2010, Information Technology Integrators (ITi) demonstrated its ongoing support for entrepreneurship and small business development by donating two computers to The Business Place, a resource hub aimed at empowering aspiring entrepreneurs and start-ups in Botswana.
This donation was intended to enhance the organization’s capacity to provide access to digital tools for business planning and development, offer training and mentorship support, and facilitate job creation and economic growth through technology enablement. One beneficiary noted, “The computers donated by ITi have been instrumental in helping us develop business plans and access online resources that are crucial for our growth.”
Although follow-up communication was challenged due to server errors and outdated contact information, ITi’s contribution reflects its strong belief in the transformative power of technology to drive innovation and community development. Another participant remarked, “Having access to these digital tools has significantly improved our ability to learn and implement new strategies for our businesses.”
Looking ahead, The Business Place plans to expand its services by introducing more advanced digital tools and resources, enhancing its training programs, and establishing partnerships with other organizations to broaden its impact. These future initiatives aim to further support local entrepreneurs in navigating the challenges of the business world and achieving sustainable growth.
